First degree:
Overbalanced diaphragm design - as the diver descends, the overbalancing feature allows the medium pressure gas in the hose to increase at a rate faster than the ambient. This results in superior performance at depth.
2 HP ports and 4 MP ports are angled for optimal hose routing.
An eco-friendly dry system keeps water out of the main spring chamber, preventing ice buildup and protecting against sludge and contamination.

Second degree:
The balanced second stage leads to light and easy breathing.
The XTX's purge buttons are large and easy to operate. It uses a 2-stage progressive purge.
The Venturi button has a soft rubber grip which makes it easier to find and use. The Venturi button reduces the amount of grit entering and therefore prevents any possible contamination, ensuring smooth operation.

OCTOPUS XTX 40:
The XTX40 Octopus pairs well with any Apeks regulator. It provides the same features and performance as the XTX40 second stage, but comes with a high-visibility yellow front cover and 99cm of yellow hose.
